What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is a model of a holistic approach to health and well-being where we treat the whole body and identify the underlying causes of ill-health, not just the symptoms. We aim to educate, support and empower you by developing preventative strategies, improve nutrient deficiencies and ultimately increase your health and vitality so that you not only get well and stay well but lead a full and vibrant life.vitality-images

People often turn to Naturopathy when conventional medicine fails to produce beneficial results. However, you do not need a diagnosis to benefit from Naturopathy. as prevention is better than cure and maintaining health and wellness allows you prevent the onset of ill-health.

What Happens In A Naturopathic Consultation?

We take your health very seriously. Your first appointment will be very comprehensive and generally takes 1 – 1.5 hours.  In this initial consultation, the practitioner will take a thorough health history and undertake comprehensive questioning to determine the underlying cause and required treatment protocol.  If require further testing may be ordered alongside Iridology, Nail and Tongue diagnosis.

After comprehensive questioning and analysis, you will be given a treatment plan which will include a supplement/herbal regime, together with dietary lifestyle advice and stress management techniques and any other relevant information that will treat both your symptoms and the cause of your health problem.

Your practitioner will want to see you for follow-up appointments generally 2-4 weeks later to assess your progress, refine your treatment plan, offer advice and support and address any other issues you may have.
